J.H. Williams Oil Co. Inc. is a Tampa based petroleum marketer that proudly offers six major brands: Shell, Chevron,
Texaco, Citgo, Sunoco,
and Marathon. We supply over 200 stations, many of which we own. We proudly stand behind the quality fuels these brands provide, and we work closely with our common carriers to deliver all orders on time!
J.H. Williams Oil Co. Inc. has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Tampa Bay Business 100. We believe this is a testament to the excellent reputation we have as a company.
What competitive advantages do we offer? One of the most unique advantages we have is the fact that we have been in business for almost 100 years, incorporated for nearly 80 of those years. Throughout this impressive span of success, we have remained dedicated to honing our industry knowledge and growing with the right partners. When various challenges have come along, we have optimistically worked through them, keeping our focus on the future and making important decisions accordingly. Today, the marketplace is as competitive as ever and yet, now entering its 4th generation, we continue to move forward! For many consecutive years, J.H. Williams Oil CO. Inc. has been ranked within the top 25 businesses, according to resources such as Florida Trend and Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Currently, J. Hulon Williams III is President of the company. He fondly recalls working alongside his grandfather in the 50's as a young boy, and alongside his father for 15 years in the 80's when he was a young adult. Hulon has steered the company through a massive amount of growth over his 40 years of leadership and 48 years at the company total. It is with great pride that he is teaching the business to his daughter and son. Rosemary Williams Anderson has been working at the company for 16 years. J.H. Williams has been working at the company for 11. Their commitment is bringing J.H. Williams Oil Co. into the 4th generation of continual family ownership, a milestone only 3 percentage of businesses ever reach. Their involvement in the day to day operations has given them exposure to all sides of the business, from sales and marketing to supply contracts, property development, technology advances, employee management and customer service.
J. Hulon Williams Jr. and J.H. Williams Sr., if alive today, would no doubt be amazed to see how much the company has grown since its early days back in the 1920's.
